all entries will be donated to the reno county cancer council…so get to knitting peeps!

for those of you who may not know, knit 1 help many is the charity knitting group that operates out of yarn. in years past we’ve donated both knitted and crochet items to several local organizations. every year we host a knit out on mother’s day weekend. there is coffee and food and all donations go to help our community.

we have a brand new year and a brand new start to commit our needles to the good of our community.

here is our donation schedule for the next couple of months:

february: mittens or scarves

march: chemo caps ***check back here for details on our chemo cap contest***

april: wash cloths

may: baby blankets…be sure to mark your calender for our knit out on the 8th!

I’m an old lady who lives in Newton who has never forgotten the kindness I experienced in your store. About a hundred years ago I came into your store hoping to learn Entrelac. Andrea Springer helped me and even made a diagram to work from. Well, I still don’t have the hang of it BUT if she is still with you, please warn her it looks like I may be moving to Hutchinson. Also give her a hug for me. After looking at your web site and if the move happens,I want to take some classes, do some charity knitting with you all and maybe even meet some other lonely old ladies. Hopefully I will see you by Labor Day.

Respectfully,
Marilyn Kreyer mkreyer@cox.net
