if you have never been privy to one of our store re-vamps i’m going to let you in on a little secret here at yarn. it can simultaneously be the most entertaining and the most nerve wracking experience you could ever be a part of. furniture is moved, then moved again. yarn is thrown into boxes to be later lovingly place back on different shelves. rugs are rolled up, shook out, put up, purchased and sometimes used as decoration on the tops of cabinets. art is hung and then rehung. and when all that is finished you move that furniture to someplace else. all the while, crazy aunt mary and debbie run about in a thinly controlled tizzy giving directions and eyeballing colors. i, clearly knowing my place, do what i’m told…usually moving furniture. it takes an loving army of worker bees, but it is totally worth it. don’t you think?
stop by and check out all of our new fall yarns. rowan colorscape chunky, schoeller & stall wonderwool, and limbo. schulana pacolana, berocco’s vintage wool, peruvia, blackstone tweed, and sundae, nashua creative focus chunky, and plymouth kudo, vip , and baby bunny.
have you signed up for the knit-a-thon on the 15th of september at the fair? you get a free fair ticket…plus get to be a part of the cool kids club.
side note: miss patty just drove up to the store with mildred. mildred is the naked paper mache lady miss patty made to decorate her home. she is letting yarn borrow mildred for displays. i love miss patty.
cheers…..shannon
